- Great suspense/mystery, with great characters!
- There is murder, cover ups, and developments you’ll never see coming. Wendy Young has put together an intricate tale, and you won’t want to leave Campbell Creek when it’s over.
I expect wonderful things from this author, and I look forward the next installment of Campbell Creek. - I am not normally a “mystery” reader but I surprised myself and really like this book. I think it was mainly due to Laura and her relationship with Will. I was so into the second half of this book I found myself reading right through “So You Think You Can Dance”!!! And it takes a lot for that to happen! I am really looking forward to reading more by this Author!
- Each character draws you in, and makes you want to hear their stories and watch their lives progress.
- I definitely recommend this book! I can’t wait for the sequel already!
- I enjoyed the writing style of Ms. Young.
- I really liked the characters in the book, and watching the relationships, both long standing and newly developed, grow and strengthen, or in some cases wither and die. While the book does contain a lot of different characters, there is no chance a reader will confuse any of them, because they are so well developed.
- In terms of the plot, I thought the story was well developed, and there certainly were plenty of dramatic twists. This does not feel like the typical mystery, there is a lot more going on than just a whodunnit.

- This story was not at all what I was expecting. So very well written. I will remember this story for the rest of my life!
- This short story about a troubled marriage works on different levels, like a Beethoven symphony, and stays with you long after you have finished it.
- The dialogue is clean, witty and somehow desperately realistic, like a Tennessee Williams of the 21st century.
- I did not expect it to end the way it did; the ending blew me away. I’m looking forward to reading more from Wendy L. Young.
- This was a wonderful short story. It was a quick read but very powerful. I was invested in the characters by the end and found myself hoping the best for them. I was definitely surprised by the ending. A tear-jerker and thought-provoker all in one. Well done–I can’t wait to read more from Wendy L. Young.
- A touching and wistful tale that will surprise you.
- Wendy Young is obviously a very talented writer and most certainly has much to offer the reader. I strongly feel that we will be hearing much more from her as we read our way down the road. I very much recommend you down load this little offering…you are in for quite a treat.
- i will definitely look for more work from this one
- And, from the lone 1-star review (who didn’t like the ending) books that have unhappy endings just do not appeal to me, I hope the author takes that into account in future offerings because she is a good story teller who I would read again if her stories are more positive and uplifting in some way!
- If you are looking for a good, short story that will be a good ten to fifteen minute filler during your lunch break at work, I’d recommend this one… If you do read this during your lunch break, be prepared to get a tissue or something – this one grips you from just about the outset as you put yourself in the shoes of the main characters. Wow, Ms. Young can certainly grab you and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!
- …definitely makes you appreciate life and those around you. It’s a good lesson teaching book. The ending broke my heart if only we all got that chance in the end…
